BMW became Overall Winner at this Year's Engine of the Year Awards

BMW has been acknowledged to be the overall winner at the 2015 Engine of the Year Awards. Congratulations!

The German producer gathered 4 wins in 2015 International Engine of the Year Awards. The drive unit in the i8 gained two class awards. Moreover, the automaker was named the overall winner! The German company also received a class award with the engine powering the M3 and M4 offerings.

The BMW i8 drive unit gained victory with its V3 BMW TwinPower Turbo petrol engine. This engine is able to produce 231 hp. The overall powerplant was acknowledged to be the best “new engine”.

The M3 and M4 powertrain received victory in the category of 2.5- to 3.0-litre displacement. It helps solidify the performance potential of BMW of the Efficient Dynamics technology set. We remind you, that the Engine of the Year Awards commenced way back in 1999. BMW has received 66 class and overall wins since that time.
