Audi e-tron Quattro Concept gives a look at the Fully-Electric SUV

Audi is showing us the outlook of its innovated fully-electric SUV with the e-tron Quattro Concept.

The concept is scheduled to be introduced at the coming-soon Motor Show in Frankfurt. It will be held in September. The concept gives a notion of the automaker’s next electric SUV. It is said to be launched for sale in two years.

A fully-electric range of more than 30 miles will be provided thankfully to optimized aerodynamics and new batteries. The producer assures that the vehicle’s drag coefficient is the same as in the Toyota Prius (0.25).

The new SUV’s size will stand between the size of Q7 and Q5. Its roofline will remain flat and remind of a coupe. The automaker mounted the battery pack between the axles. That puts it underneath the place for passengers. Such position of the battery will give the car a decent balance and low centre of gravity.

Three electric motors are in charge of the system’s work. There is one motor on the front axle and two more in the rear. In such a way, the SUV has a four-wheel drive capability.

As well, you will find a new OLED touchscreen interface inside the cabin.
