A Stylish Carrier Rendering from Volvo MPV
Theophilus Chin has envisioned a van with the Volvo badge and the automaker’s latest style language.
Theophilus Chin combined the outlook of the 2nd –gen XC90 with several design cues of the Volkswagen Sharan. As a result, several renderings for a hypothetical Swedish MPV appeared. As far as we know, it is not the agenda. Sales of Volvo’s SUVs and crossovers flourish. Therefore, it looks like the producer perceives the market of people carriers as not big enough to justify development price.
Moreover, the Geely-owned brand plans to make a full revision of the range in the years to come. Actually, it has already begun with the new XC90. After that the S90 will replace the S80. The company is also developing an innovated XC60. They have already stated about a new V40 which is scheduled for the next year. A crossover variant will follow it in two years. It will probably wear the XC40 name.
Before premiere of the XC40, the automaker will set the next-gen of the S60 and V60 in two years. A V90 wagon based on the S90 and influenced by the gorgeous Concept Estate in its design will be placed down the line.
