TMG Performance of Toyota Temporarily Frozen
Neither Toyota, nor Lexus will be extended to incorporate a sub-brand in the nearest future.
Japanese company has announced that Toyota Motorsport GmbH will not separate from the parent company for now. One of the brand’s representatives was actually rather categorical stating in an interview to an Australian journal that status change of TMG would not even be considered by management until 2018.
However, the announcement did not imply that cooperation with the parent brand will be ceased. TMG is going to continue helping Toyota in development of a large array of cars. Nevertheless, production preparation of TMG Sports 650 will definitely be discontinued.
