Serious Leakage of X5 eDrive from BMW

No camouflage concealed the upcoming BMW X5 eDrive when it got into the spy cameras.

Chinese car paparazzi managed to make a few photos of a prototype with modified front part and hints at better aerodynamic characteristics. What was more exciting is the presence of a charger of plug-in kind mounted on the front wing. Other than this, the production prototype does not seem to differ from the original concept.

Almost surely dubbed xDrive40e, the model will closely follow the specifics featured in the concept, including the powertrain – a petrol turbo V4 with the displacement of 2.0 litres plus an electric motor enhanced by a battery. Fuel engine delivers 241 hp which, together with an electric motor, creates a total figure of quite a decent output of 335 hp and 442 lb-ft.

Gasoline power will secure a 7-second sprint to 62 mph point for BMW xDrive40. Electric motor delivers maximum speed of 75 mph lasting for 20 miles.

The model will allegedly be presented this autumn in Paris.
