Porsche Macan S E-Hybrid excludes the three-door version

Julian Baumann stated in the Motoring that the Macan plug-in-hybrid version is being elaborated. 

The Macan S R-Hybrid is going to be presented in 2015; nevertheless the presentation date has not been approved yet. The model is said to have the same hardware configuration alike the Panamera and Cayenne S E Hybrid models. The both variants have a supercharged six-cylinder engine with 3.0 volume. It will be able to produce 333 hp (or 245 kW) together with electromotor production of 95 hp (or 70 kW). In the result it will be able to provide the output of 416 hp (or 306 kW) together with the torque of 590 Nm (or 435 lb-ft).

The Cayenne S E-Hybrid which is heavier and larger can sprint 62 mph (100 km/h) in less than 6 seconds. In such a way, the Macan S E-Hybrid is supposed to be in a great measure faster.  The wholly electrical extent of 36 km (or 22 miles) which is considered by the Panamera and Cayenne S E-Hybrid is going to be bigger as the Macan S E-Hybrid will be considerably lighter than them.

 Baumann said that the customer demand for a three-door Macan will be not high.
