Polo Crossover Concept from Volkswagen Might See the World in Geneva

Recent reports indicate that Volkswagen is planning to make an unveiling of the new Polo concept in Geneva.

Leading German magazine of the industry, Autobild, cast light on something which appears to be an unsure issue yet. As the brand has already secured a preview with the edition, it became known that the production model will appear in dealerships not earlier than in 2016 with the approximate starting price of €20,000.

The company did not make an official announcement about the powerplant variants it is going to present in the Polo Crossover lineup, but Autobild states they might include a wide range of engines, starting from the smallest V3 for 1.0 litres with the most powerful being TSI for 1.8 litres. Output variants fluctuate from 90 to 185 hp; maximum torque figures are 206 lb-ft.

Apart from that, it is also possible that the new car will be sold in R variant featuring a turbocharged engine for 2.0 litres with V4 amounting roughly to 220 hp.
