New BMW 740Ld: 255 bhp on a Diesel Engine Available in the USA
740Ld xDrive from BMW is about to be introduced in the US.
Ready to sparkle at Chicago presentation, the new sedan boasts a V6 diesel turbo for 3.0 litres amounting to 255 bhp and torque of 413 lb-ft. Gearbox is automatic, for eight speeds. Together with four-wheel drive it enables the car to reach a 60 mph mark in slightly more than 6 seconds. No other modification details have been confirmed yet, but the company states other models of the lineup with the same powertrain were designed to be gain nearly one-third fuel consumption advance over the cars working on petrol.
American customers will be able to buy 740Ld xDrive in a few months for the starting price of $83,425, inclusive of destination.
