First Glimpse on 2015 Golf R from Volkswagen

Impressive 290 hp present Golf R as a powerful vehicle embracing driver’s comfort.

Almost 300 hp are implemented on the four-wheel drive, enabling the car to reach 60 mph in less than 5 seconds. Consumers from North America will be presented with manual or dual-clutch gearbox options, both for six speeds, but body style does not boast much choice: only five-door hatchbacks will be marketed in the USA.

A look on the inside is also intriguing: the interior features leather Nappa seats, steering wheel with three spokes, dash inlays finished in carbon fibre and special design on gauge cluster.

Four modes are available for drivers in Golf R, stretching from normal to race ones. The choice of the particular mode changes engine working patterns and other characteristics.
