Faulty Headlamps of Volkswagen Passat Lead to Recalls

The experience of Passat owners will make all drivers be extra considerate when closing the bonnet of their cars.

More than 150,000 Passat items produced in 2012-2013 are recalled by the brand. As it turns out, any type of careless bonnet closing except for gentle lowering leads to disconnection of the dipped beam. The appropriate warning start to blink at the dash board and then dipped beams cease to work altogether.

Luckily, no reported cases have been sent to Volkswagen on the matter so far. The company promises to repair the lamps free of charge: owners will have to go to their dealerships where bulb fitting will be fixed.
