Extreme Power of BMW: Gran Turismo Concept Available on PlayStation

Two good pieces of news for BMW fans: concept called Vision Gran Turismo will appear for video games and prepare the public for the future racing developments.

Preliminary data is impressive: digital version of the vehicle offers a turbo V6 with 3.0-litre displacement and an output of 549 hp. As communication executive of the brand has put it, the new car will be a quintessence of harmonic mixture of best race engineering and smartest design. Truly, the characteristics of the vehicle are essentially in line with race sport evolution.

While carbon fibre is excessively used for the body of the concept, aero kit is meant to serve as downforce element. The latter is crucial considering the weight of the car – only 2,600 lbs. Such a diet look demands a safe solution to provide the vehicle with stability on the curves. BMW has not openly confessed it but semi-official sources mention that aero kit originates from 2 Series.

Stunning 549 hp add up to torque of 501 lb-ft. Gearbox of the concept is rather peculiar: it has six speeds situated in sequence and accessed by a paddle. Apart from that, axle load is calculated to the ideal 50:50 fraction. Unfortunately, those who plan to ride the car only with the gamepad will not truly feel the smoothness of such a drive.

In order to compensate for it the brand has announced that a racing seat will accompany the game. Combined with three screens, it might just do the trick. Further information about the setup is wisely concealed by BMW.
