BMW is said to be Working on an Innovated Z1 & Z3

One of the recent reports states that BMW is going to regenerate its Z range with a series of innovated sports vehicles.

Nevertheless a lot has been already told about the jointly-created Z5, Motor.es reports about the creating of an entry-level Z1 Roadster and Coupe. There is no much information about the offerings, but the website tells that they will have the front-wheel drive UKL1 platform. Also it states that they will be sold with three- and four-cylinder powerplants.

The company is gossiped to work on an innovated Z3 which will become a competitor to Boxter and Cayman. The vehicle is planned to be equipped with three-, four- and six-cylinder powertrains and a new platform which it will share with the Toyota 86 of the next generation.

Moreover, the Z5 is gossiped to gain a carbon fibber chassis and a up-to-date styling which incorporates a large cowl and elongated headlamps. It is also stated in the report that the coupe will be a regular 2+2 seater at the time when the convertible will gain an extensible soft top.

It is not known if all these is true, but, according to the report, Z5 powertrain options will include a V4 producing near 270 h (or 198 kW), a V6 producing more than 400 hp (or 294 kW) and a possible Hybridized M version with 500 hp (or 367 kW).
