4x4 Mazdaspeed3 to Arrive in 2016

Mazda has shared some of its plans for Mazdaspeed3.

Compact vehicle line-up is going to achieve a newcomer for model year 2017, which means that the modified car will be presented sometime in 2016 Q2. SkyActiv platform will once again act as the main basis of the release. Moreover, high-spec Mazdaspeed3 is also due to arrive soon. Skyactiv is the expected marquee of the mill, as well, which in this case is going to be turbocharged and have a displacement of 2.5 litres. CX-9 premiere of 2016 will preview this propulsion.

Allegedly Mazda is opting for a 4WD. Such an innovation will greatly favour Mazdaspeed3 in rivalling for customers with Subaru WRX STI. On the other hand, reduces supply caused by discontinuation of Lancer Evolution will certainly help the promotion. Anyway, to the moment it all remains in the rumour form, but some sources indicate that as much as 300 hp are planned to be put under the hood of Mazdaspeed3.
