VW Touareg X Special Edition Celebrates 10-Year Anniversary

To mark its anniversary, the VW Touareg will provide a unique version X vehicle based off the TDI Clean Diesel Lux trim.

Framed to only 1,100 models, the Touareg X Special Edition will cost starting at $56,180 and will include special 19-inch “Moab” wheels, Moonlight Blue pearl paint, LED tail lights and Touareg X-specific logo. Inside, the German company outfits the special Touareg X with Vienna leather seating surfaces finished in Black Anthracite with a complementing dark headliner. Special Designed Ebony Wood accents mark the 10 years of Touareg production while the center console has been finished in piano black. Finally, the more upscale look has been finished off with aluminum door steel plates, aluminum-appearance pedal covers and ambient lighting.

The Touareg X is enhanced by a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 TDI with 241 hp and 407 lb-ft of torque. Paired to an 8-speed transmission, the TDI Touareg X gets an EPA-rated 28 mpg on the highway.
