Toyota GT86 CS-R3 Rally Model Reported

Toyota Motorsport GmbH has uncovered its GT86 CS-R3 rally model as part of its client motorsport program.

The famous sports vehicle from Toyota will be changed to R3 specification and made available to private clients with the delivery expected for the 2015 season. Since it will be constructed for R3 regulations, the Toyota GT86 CS-R3 will include a 6-speed sequential gearbox, a limited slip differential, an enhanced motor, adapted brakes and other different improvements.

The Toyota GT86 CS-R3 is targeting private clients and will be eligible for all FIA-sanctioned rallies featuring the World Rally Championship (WRC). Full specifications on the rally vehicle along with pricing will be made available in the coming months according to the Japanese company.

TMG is not a novice in rally racing, having started in 1979 in rally contest and winning 4 drivers’ and 3 manufacturers’ championships in WRC.
