Tesla Model S Cost Transforms Carefully

If you’ve been recently looking for a Tesla Model S and surfing the official website’s application you may need to check the cost again.

The electric company has softly changed the cost of its Model S, according to recent shoppers and current customers online. While the base price of the model is a little higher than before, some options and packages have experienced radical price rise, while others have even been lowered. But for the vast majority of shoppers, the overall Model S price has gone up for some setups by much as 10 %, or $10,000 or more.

According to one Model S customer, who bought his car in December 2012, it would cost $14,550 more today. Nowadays, the base price of the Model S is $77,820 for the 60-kwh vehicle once you add back the $7,500 the company subtracts on its website. The most expensive vehicle, the 86-kwh P85 Performance, is priced from $96,820. Tesla also has shorter production times for the higher-end vehicles, another incentive for those eager customers to spring for the more expensive setups.

Frankly, Tesla is a business and it has to be profitable. While other companies such as Nissan are slashing the prices on its electric cars, Tesla has been experiencing top demand. This could have been the company’s plan all along, now that the Model S has gotten all the positive press it should to move them off the Tesla stores’ lots.
