Record Sales of Volkswagen Reported in China

For almost a decade it is the first time Volkswagen is about to become the best-selling car brand in China.

Years and years of leading made General Motors the most popular carmaker in China, but finally there is a change of players as Volkswagen gained an advantage of 70,000 vehicles sold in 2013 by December. As for general results, this year more than three-million cars by these American and German brands were bought in China.

Moreover, a representative of Volkswagen’s Chinese sales department claims that if it were not for certain capacity issues, the brand could sell even a larger amount of vehicles in this country. Audi closes the Top Three of best-selling carmakers in China.

Claims of Volkswagen will be actually supported, as by 2018 nearly $25 billion will be invested into Chinese operations.
