Flawed Engines of Tacoma Pickup from Toyota of 2013 and 2014

Some Tacoma pickups of 2013 and those not put in dealerships for 2014 yet are facing a recall. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports in its bulletin that a flaw revealed in the engines of these cars can cause the vehicles to stall or lead to more serious consequences.

A defect in valve springs of Tacoma engine is the heart of the problem. After some time of usage buffer action may lead to springs failure. If it happens while driving, a stalled engine might cause an accident.

Luckily, not so many Tacoma trucks are affected by the flaw. Generally, 3,795 cars manufactured since the beginning of July till mid-October 2013 are recalled.

The company informs that recall notification will begin in December. The owners who get these notifications can take their cars to dealerships where the valve springs will be replaced for free.
