Exceptional Brand-New Ferrari 458 Speciale

At the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show, Ferrari uncovered its 458 Speciale with 605 hp and enhanced aerodynamics.

But as with all vehicles at auto shows, it could only be admired while it silently sat still. Fortunately, Ferrari has released a video presenting its hardcore version of the 458 and you can not only see it in action, but listen to its roaring motor.

Ferrari states that the 458 Speciale goes 0-62 mph in 3 seconds and has clocked a lap time of 1:23.5 at the company’s Fiorano Circuit. Additionally to the enhanced aerodynamics and 35-hp bump, the 458 Speciale also includes specially-manufactured tires from Michelin. Moreover, there’s the “Side Slip Angle Control System” that Ferrari has created, devised to compare slip against a theoretical limit to determine exactly how far the exotic can be pushed.

Ferrari 458 Speciale goes on sale in the U.S. in spring 2014.
