2014 BMW Z4 Pre-Shown With Insignificant Upgrade

BMW is pre-showing its 2014 Z4 sports vehicle which will receive a range of minor upgrades for the 2014 model year.

The refreshments will feature new wheels, fresh paint colors, new side indicator lights and enhanced interior amenities.

Talking about the outside, these new colors are Mineral Grey metallic, Glacier Silver metallic, and Valencia Orange metallic. Also, the 18-inch wheels seen on the vehicle here are the fresh wheels. Moreover, there are the fresh side indicator lights.

There will also be enhacned trim and stitching for the interior. Along with that are refreshments to the Z4′s ConnectedDrive control. That means top beam help and park distance system. In vehicles equipped with navigation, the enhancements also feature internet-based details like real-time traffic updates, Twitter, Facebook, and internet radio support.

BMW also added automatic collision notification details to the vehicle’s ConnectedDrive package. That package also sees the folding infotainment screen moving to regular equipment. BMW is also substituting its “Citrus Yellow” package with the “Hyper Orange” package. That means orange accents on the interior featuring accent stripes on the seat backrests and cushions and a metal weave trim strip.

Price wasn’t revealed with the package, and the vehicle stays mechanically unchanged for 2014. That means the same turbo 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder Z4 sDrive28i with 240 hp, the turbocharged, 300-hp 6-cylinder sDrive35i and range topping 335-hp 6-cylinder sDrive35is.
