The third-generation Volvo S60 debuted in June 2018 at Volvo's manufacturing plant in Charleston, South Carolina. Built on the Scalable Product Architecture (SPA), it is produced as a 4-door sedan. The S60 was the first Volvo model offered without any diesel engine variants, signaling the brand's shift toward electrification.
Powertrains feature 2.0-liter Drive-E turbocharged petrol engines (T4, T5, T6) and B-series mild-hybrid setups. Range-topping models are T6 and T8 Twin Engine / Recharge plug-in hybrids producing up to 455 hp. A Polestar Engineered trim adds Öhlins suspension tuning and Brembo brakes.
