Vauxhall Corsa II (C) gallery (2000–2006)

The second-generation Vauxhall Corsa (C) launched in the United Kingdom in October 2000, riding on the newly engineered GM Gamma platform (GM4300). This architecture offered a significantly stiffer body structure, a longer wheelbase, and enhanced crash safety ratings compared to its predecessor. British buyers were offered three-door and five-door hatchback body styles alongside the commercial Corsa Van. Petrol engine options included 1.0-litre three-cylinder and 1.2- and 1.4-litre Twinport four-cylinder units, while the warm hatch SRi model packed a 1.8-litre 16V engine delivering 125 hp. The diesel line-up initially featured 1.7-litre DTI units, later superseded by a technologically advanced 1.3-litre CDTI Common Rail turbo-diesel co-developed with Fiat. A comprehensive facelift in late 2003 brought restyled front and rear bumpers, clear-lens halogen headlights, upgraded cabin materials, and the introduction of the Easytronic automated manual transmission alongside traditional five-speed manuals and four-speed automatics.
