Suzuki Kizashi I (FR) gallery (2009–2015)

Introduced in July 2009, the Suzuki Kizashi (chassis code FR) represented Suzuki's ambitious entry into the mid-size D-segment sedan market. Engineered with a rigid sports-tuned chassis featuring multi-link rear suspension, the Kizashi achieved dynamic agility and refined ride quality intended to rival European sport sedans. The muscular exterior design was complemented by an upscale interior equipped with acoustic laminated glass, premium leather upholstery, and comprehensive safety equipment.

The Kizashi was powered exclusively by a naturally aspirated 2.4-liter J24B four-cylinder engine producing up to 185 hp and 230 Nm of torque. Transmission choices included a 6-speed manual or a Jatco-sourced Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with paddle shifters. The sedan was offered in front-wheel-drive or with Suzuki's switchable i-AWD system, which routed power electronically to the rear wheels when slipping was detected. Production concluded in late 2015 without a direct replacement.
