Skoda Rapid Rapid (1981-1990) gallery (1981–1990)
A rear-engined coupe based on the 742 model, which was marketed as Rapid in export versions.
The car, known as Garde (in Czechoslovakia) and Rapid (for export), was a two-door version of the Skoda 120 sedan. It featured a rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, providing distinct handling characteristics. It was powered by a 1.2-liter engine. Despite its simple design, the model was valued for its affordability and sporty appearance, becoming the last rear-engined coupe in the brand's history.
