The first-generation Pontiac Firebird debuted in 1967, sharing its F-body platform with the Chevrolet Camaro while featuring distinct styling and Pontiac's own engine lineup. Available as a two-door coupe and convertible, it offered a wide range of powerplants from inline-sixes to powerful V8 engines, including the famous Ram Air versions.
