The third-generation NIO ES8 flagship crossover SUV, carrying the factory code Cetus, debuted in 2025 on the advanced 900-volt NT 3.0 platform. The vehicle measures over 5.28 meters long with a 3.13-meter wheelbase. The dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrain links a 245-horsepower front induction motor with a 462-horsepower rear permanent magnet motor, producing a total output of 707 horsepower and 700 Newton-meters of torque delivered through single-speed reduction gearboxes. Energy is supplied by a 102 kWh CATL NMC battery supporting 600 kW ultra-fast direct-current charging capable of adding 250 kilometers of range in five minutes, alongside battery swapping capability. The cabin is available in five, six, or seven-seat configurations and includes a 15.6-inch AMOLED central display, a full-width 48-inch Skyline instrument panel, a 21.4-inch ceiling-mounted rear entertainment display, a 27-speaker Lyra sound system, and a triple LiDAR sensor setup for autonomous driving. The model targets China and global export markets.
