The second-generation NIO ES8 flagship crossover under the Aries factory code was built on the NT 2.0 platform, featuring a six-seat executive interior and dual-chamber air suspension.
The second-generation NIO ES8 flagship crossover SUV, developed under the internal factory code Aries, was produced from 2023 to 2025 on the NT 2.0 platform. Measuring 5.1 meters in length, the exterior highlighted clean bodywork with concealed window seals. The dual-motor all-wheel drive system integrated a 245-horsepower front permanent magnet motor and a 408-horsepower rear induction motor, producing a total of 653 horsepower and 850 Newton-meters of torque transmitted through single-speed reduction gears. A dual-chamber air suspension provided active ride height and damping control. Energy options encompassed 75 kWh, 100 kWh, and 150 kWh battery packs with up to 900 kilometers of range and battery swap support. The interior featured a six-seat executive layout with zero-gravity seating, a 15.6-inch central AMOLED touchscreen, a 23-speaker Dolby Atmos system, a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor, and the Adam supercomputer powered by four NVIDIA DRIVE Orin X chips. In European markets, it was marketed as the EL8.
