Second generation Mercedes-Benz Citan compact van (W420), winner of International Van of the Year 2022, available as the electric eCitan.
The second-generation Mercedes-Benz Citan (chassis code W420) premiered in August 2021, winning the International Van of the Year 2022 award. Developed alongside the Renault Kangoo III, the W420 features distinct Mercedes exterior aesthetics, MBUX infotainment with natural speech voice recognition, and advanced driver assistance systems.
Configurations comprise the Citan Panel Van, Citan Tourer, and the upscale T-Class passenger derivative. Engine choices feature 1.5-liter turbodiesels and 1.33-liter turbocharged gasoline engines paired with 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch transmissions. The line was expanded with the electric eCitan, featuring a 45 kWh battery enabling a WLTP range up to 285 km.
