Lotus Exige III gallery (2012–2021)

Unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show and entering production in 2012, the third-generation Exige (Series 3 / Exige V6) transformed the model into a potent mid-engine supercar slayer. Built on a lengthened and widened evolution of the bonded chassis with a new rear subframe, it accommodated a mid-mounted 3.5-liter Toyota 2GR-FE V6 equipped with a Harrop/Eaton supercharger. Power output started at 350 hp in the initial Exige S and escalated through Sport 350, Sport 380, Sport 410, and Cup 430 variants reaching up to 430 hp. For the first time, the Exige was offered in both Coupe and Roadster body styles. Shifting was handled by a 6-speed manual (featuring an exposed mechanical linkage from 2016) or an optional 6-speed IPS automatic. With curb weights between 1,050 and 1,125 kg, top versions reached 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds. Production ceased in December 2021 with the Final Edition series (Sport 390, Sport 420, Cup 430). The car was sold across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
