Lotus Evija I (Type 130) gallery (2020–present)

The Lotus Evija (factory code Type 130) was revealed in 2019, with boutique assembly beginning in Hethel in 2020 as the company's first fully electric road car. Built upon an ultra-lightweight one-piece carbon fiber monocoque weighing just 129 kg, the Evija features dramatic exterior design highlighted by pronounced Venturi aero tunnels sculpted through the rear bodywork. The electric powertrain, developed in technical partnership with Williams Advanced Engineering, utilizes four independent permanent-magnet electric motors (one per wheel) with single-speed planetary gearboxes, developing a combined output of 2,000 metric horsepower and 1,704 Nm of torque with sophisticated all-wheel torque vectoring. Its 70 kWh lithium-ion battery pack is mounted centrally behind the passenger cell for optimum mid-engine dynamics. Production was limited to a strictly capped run of 130 units targeted at international hypercar collectors across the globe.
