The modern Lincoln Zephyr is a tech-focused luxury sedan engineered specifically for China and international markets.
Unveiled at Auto Guangzhou in late 2021 and entering production in early 2022, the third-generation Lincoln Zephyr was developed by Changan Ford as a successor to the MKZ specifically tailored for younger Chinese consumers. Riding on Ford's modular C2 platform, the sedan showcases Lincoln's latest design language with a full-width LED light bar, dynamic grille mesh, and flush pop-out door handles. The interior is highlighted by a massive 27-inch 4K touchscreen stretching across the passenger dashboard alongside a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster powered by the SYNC+ 4.0 operating system. The standard powertrain features a 2.0-liter turbocharged EcoBoost inline-four producing 243 hp, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. In 2024, a full-hybrid variant was introduced, pairing the 2.0-liter turbo engine with an electric motor for a combined 314 hp through an electronic continuously variable transmission (e-CVT). It remains in active production.
