The flagship Lexus LC (Z100) grand tourer debuted for 2018 in coupe and convertible body styles with 5.0L V8 and Multi Stage hybrid powertrains.
The first-generation Lexus LC flagship grand tourer (chassis code Z100) premiered at the North American International Auto Show in January 2016, entering production for the 2018 model year. Directly bringing the acclaimed LF-LC concept to production, it was constructed on the high-rigidity GA-L platform utilizing carbon-fiber composite, aluminum, and ultra-high-tensile steel. In 2019, Lexus expanded the lineup with the LC 500 Convertible, featuring an innovative four-layer soft top.
Powertrain options include the LC 500, driven by a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter 2UR-GSE V8 engine producing 471 horsepower mated to a 10-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission. The LC 500h hybrid utilizes Lexus's Multi Stage Hybrid System combining a 3.5-liter V6 and electric motor for 354 system horsepower. Continuous updates have introduced refined suspension geometry, a Torsen limited-slip differential, dynamic rear steering, and touchscreen infotainment upgrades.
