The third-generation Kia Soul (SK3) debuted in November 2018 at the Los Angeles Auto Show. It introduced an avant-garde split headlight design with a thin connecting LED brow light strip and wraparound boom-erang tail lamps. Built on Hyundai-Kia's K2 platform, overall length reached 4,195 mm and the wheelbase grew to 2,600 mm, augmenting cargo capacity and rear-seat room. This generation of the Soul (SK3) was in production since 2019 and offered in хэтчбек body styles. Built on an engineered platform, it features strong structural rigidity, refined aerodynamics, and advanced occupant safety engineering.
Engines feature a 2.0-liter Nu MPI atmospheric engine (147 hp) paired with an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) and a 1.6-liter T-GDI turbo (201 hp) for the GT-Line. The electric e-Soul (Soul EV) features a 64 kWh battery pack and a 204 hp motor delivering up to 452 km of range (WLTP). A 2022 facelift updated the front fascia with unified headlight units and a 10.25-inch touchscreen. The powertrain lineup features modern engines optimized for thermal efficiency, balancing responsive acceleration with economical fuel consumption. Power is delivered through reliable manual or automatic transmissions. Mid-cycle updates introduced modernized LED lighting graphics, premium cabin materials, and enhanced active driver assistance suites.
