The XJ40 was a completely new car with an angular design and advanced electronics. This generation marked a shift towards modern standards of quality and reliability. The new AJ6 inline-six engines provided excellent performance and efficiency. Despite being radically different from its predecessors, the XJ40 laid the foundation for all subsequent models of the brand.
