The fourth-generation Honda CR-V (RM1–RM4) debuted in late 2011. It presented a lower windshield profile, sculpted bodysides, and an enlarged cargo aperture. Cabin usability was elevated through one-motion 60/40 split rear seat folding mechanisms and expanded digital display integration.

Engine offerings comprised 2.0-liter (150 hp) and 2.4-liter (185 hp) petrol engines, complemented by 1.6-liter (120–160 hp) and 2.2-liter (150 hp) i-DTEC turbodiesels. The hydraulic dual-pump AWD system was replaced by an electronic Real Time AWD system with Intelligent Control. A major 2014 facelift added LED daytime running lights, Earth Dreams direct-injection engines, and a CVT transmission.
