Holden Rodeo II (TF) gallery (1988–2003)

The highly successful second-generation Rodeo pickup based on the Isuzu TF platform, produced from 1988 to 2003.

The Holden Rodeo TF generation debuted in 1988 as a rebadged variant of the third-generation Isuzu Faster/TF series, enjoying an exceptional 15-year production run until 2003. It was offered in Single Cab, Space Cab, and Crew Cab configurations with either cab-chassis or well-body ute beds in 4x2 and 4x4 formats. Throughout its lifespan, the TF received major mid-cycle facelifts (including the R7 and R9 updates) featuring refreshed grilles, updated interiors, and updated powertrain lineups. Petrol engines evolved from the 2.6-liter 4ZE1 four-cylinder to a locally sourced 2.2-liter four-cylinder and a potent 3.2-liter Isuzu 6VD1 V6 engine introduced in 1998. The diesel line featured durable 2.5-liter, 2.8-liter turbo-diesel (4JB1-T), and ultimately the 3.0-liter 4JH1-T direct-injection intercooled turbo-diesel. Gearboxes included 5-speed manuals and 4-speed automatic transmissions. Built by Isuzu in Thailand, it was widely marketed across Australia and New Zealand as a class-leading light commercial vehicle.
