GMC Acadia II (C1XX) gallery (2016–2023)

The second-generation GMC Acadia was unveiled at the 2016 North American International Auto Show for the 2017 model year. Transitioning to the modular GM C1XX architecture, the Acadia underwent a major strategic repositioning: it shed about 700 pounds (318 kg) in curb weight and decreased in length by over 7 inches, reclassifying it from a full-size crossover to a more agile mid-size three-row SUV accommodating five to seven passengers. The initial engine options included a standard 2.5-liter atmospheric inline-four (193 hp) and a robust 3.6-liter LGX V6 producing 310 hp, initially mated to a six-speed automatic. A substantial mid-cycle update for the 2020 model year brought squared-off front-end styling, standard LED lighting, a push-button Electronic Precision Shift gear selector, an advanced nine-speed 9T65 automatic transmission across the board, and a new 2.0-liter turbocharged LSY inline-four engine (230 hp). The rugged AT4 off-road trim with twin-clutch AWD also debuted with the refresh. Production took place in Spring Hill, Tennessee, serving North American and Middle Eastern markets.
