Launched for 1994, the code-named SN95 Mustang represented a thorough structural overhaul of the Fox platform, delivering greater torsional rigidity and refined suspension geometry. Offered exclusively as a coupe and convertible, its initial styling adopted sweeping bio-design curves that paid homage to classic early-generation proportions. The 1999 New Edge refresh introduced sharp body lines and chiseled light units.
Base models featured a 3.8-liter V6, while high-tier trim levels transitioned from the pushrod 5.0 V8 to the modern Modular 4.6-liter SOHC and DOHC V8 engines.
