Unveiled in 2010 under the One Ford strategy, the Focus Mk3 replaced separate North American and European lines with a single global chassis. The exterior adopted dynamic Kinetic Design surfacing, paired with a driver-oriented cockpit featuring advanced SYNC infotainment software. Body formats included a five-door hatchback, a four-door sedan, and an estate wagon.

Powertrains embraced downsizing with 1.0-liter, 1.5-liter, and 2.0-liter EcoBoost turbocharged petrol engines alongside TDCi diesels and the zero-emission Focus Electric. High-performance models included the 250-hp Focus ST and the range-topping Focus RS, which featured a revolutionary torque-vectoring Ford Performance All-Wheel Drive system.
