About this generation

The first-generation Everest was built on the rugged Ranger pickup ladder frame for global markets.

Debuting in 2003, the first-generation Everest (UR) was a body-on-frame SUV constructed on Ranger pickup underpinnings. Its five-door body housed a three-row seven-seat cabin, high ground clearance, and a side-hinged tailgate carrying a full-size spare tire.
