About this generation

The second-generation Everest introduced a Watt's linkage rear suspension and Terrain Management System.

Unveiled for 2015, the second-generation Everest (U375) was developed by Ford Australia on the Ranger T6 chassis. It departed from commercial truck styling, featuring sculpted bodywork and a refined seven-seat interior equipped with SYNC 3. The rear suspension switched from leaf springs to coil springs with a Watt's linkage.

Power came from 2.2-liter and 3.2-liter TDCi diesels, later supplemented by a 2.0-liter Bi-Turbo EcoBlue engine with a 10-speed automatic. The Terrain Management System with rear differential lock provided off-road capability. The lasting engineering impact of this generation remains a key benchmark in Ford's global model evolution history. Known for its dependable mechanical layout, the vehicle built a loyal customer base across diverse driving conditions.
