Ford EcoSport I (BV) gallery (2003–2012)

The first-generation Ford EcoSport (factory code BV) was produced at the Camaçari assembly plant in Brazil from 2003 to 2012. Designed by Ford's South American Development Center on the global B3 platform shared with the Fiesta Mk5 and Fusion, it pioneered the highly popular affordable subcompact crossover segment across Latin America. The vehicle combined a raised ground clearance and rugged body cladding with a signature tailgate-mounted external spare tire, achieving immense commercial success and undisputed market leadership in regional Latin American markets.

Engine options included 1.0-liter supercharged (95 hp), 1.6-liter Zetec-Rocam (98–111 hp), and 2.0-liter Duratec (143 hp) gasoline and flex-fuel units, along with a 1.4-liter TDCi Duratorq turbodiesel. Transmission choices comprised a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque-converter automatic. While most production models featured front-wheel drive, Ford also offered a four-wheel-drive variant (EcoSport 4WD) equipped with an electronically controlled rear axle coupling. A comprehensive mid-cycle facelift in 2007 introduced redesigned front-end styling, modernized headlights, and an upgraded interior layout before production officially ended in 2012.
