The Ferrari 512 TR was a significant reworking of the original Testarossa. Engineers lowered the engine position for a better center of gravity, updated the transmission, and re-tuned the suspension, which significantly improved handling. Visually, the model received an updated front end and a more modern interior, while retaining the overall concept and the powerful 12-cylinder flat engine, which became more powerful and reliable than its predecessor.
