Daewoo Nubira I Рестайлинг (J150/J190) gallery (1999–2003)

A thorough mid-cycle update of the Nubira featuring reworked styling, higher cabin quality, and lower NVH.

Introduced in late 1999, the updated Nubira II (chassis code J150, later updated to J190) addressed feedback from the original generation through more than one hundred structural and mechanical revisions. Daewoo focused heavily on refining noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels, updating the rear suspension architecture, and boosting overall passive safety. The exterior received a dramatic cosmetic overhaul featuring bolder headlights, a signature corporate grille, restyled bumpers, and completely revised taillights on the sedan. The interior was heavily upgraded with higher-grade dashboard plastics, modern switchgear, and more supportive seats. Power was provided by proven 1.6-liter (106 hp) and 2.0-liter (133 hp) D-TEC engines mated to a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed GM automatic. The J150 generation was produced extensively across plants in South Korea, Poland (FSO), Romania (Rodae), Ukraine (ZAZ), and Egypt, remaining in production until 2003.
