Daewoo Matiz III (M300) gallery (2009–2011)
The third generation city hatchback sold in Korea as the Daewoo Matiz Creative on GM's Gamma II architecture.
Unveiled at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, the third-generation M300 generation launched in South Korea as the Daewoo Matiz Creative. Engineered on General Motors' all-new global Gamma II platform, the vehicle represented a total departure in design, featuring sharp geometric body lines, oversized headlamps, integrated rear door handles concealed in the C-pillars, and a motorcycle-inspired digital-analog gauge cluster. The vehicle grew in length to 3,640 mm, substantially increasing cabin volume and structural rigidity. Under the hood, the Matiz Creative utilized a 1.0-liter four-cylinder S-TEC II DOHC 16-valve engine developing 70 horsepower, mated to either a five-speed manual or a four-speed Jatco automatic transmission. A dedicated LPGi gas variant was also available. Production under the Daewoo badge ceased in early 2011 when GM phased out the historic brand name in favor of GM Korea, with the model continuing globally as the Chevrolet Spark.
