Daewoo Matiz II (M200/M250) gallery (2005–2011)

The second generation of the Daewoo Matiz featuring central instrumentation and enhanced structural safety.

The second-generation Matiz, designated M200, was introduced in 2005 built upon a heavily updated GM Daewoo platform that significantly improved torsional rigidity and crash safety. The styling preserved its compact five-door profile while achieving a notably slipperier aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.34. The interior underwent a radical redesign characterized by a centrally located instrument cluster placed above the middle console for better outward visibility. The powertrain family consisted of refined Euro-4 compliant petrol engines: the entry-level 0.8-liter three-cylinder making 52 hp and an upgraded 1.0-liter four-cylinder delivering 66 hp. Both five-speed manual and four-speed automatic gearboxes were available. In 2007, a minor mid-cycle refresh arrived with the M250 designation, tweaking the bumpers, grille, and lighting units. In South Korea, it remained badged as the Daewoo Matiz (and Matiz Classic), while international markets widely received it as the Chevrolet Spark or Chevrolet Matiz.
