About this generation
The sixth generation covers the difficult war and post-war periods of Chrysler's development.
Production was temporarily interrupted due to World War II, after which the release of models was resumed with minimal changes. These cars embodied the conservative luxury and reliability characteristic of pre-war and early post-war style.
