About this generation
First generation of the Chery Stockman body-on-frame pickup with a diesel plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain.
The first generation of the Chery Stockman body-on-frame pickup entered the market as the world's first mass-production diesel plug-in hybrid (PHEV) truck. Constructed on a rugged ladder-frame platform, the vehicle measures 5,450 mm in length, 2,010 mm in width, and 1,890 mm in height, with an expansive wheelbase of 3,250 mm and ground clearance of 247 mm. The truck is offered in a practical four-door dual-cab configuration with a square bed measuring 1,560 × 1,560 × 500 mm.
The powertrain pairs a 2.5-liter turbocharged diesel combustion engine with an electric motor, generating a combined output of 350 kW (469 hp) and 800 Nm of torque. An onboard traction battery enables an electric-only driving range of up to 100 km according to the NEDC testing cycle, while claimed average fuel consumption is just 2.0 liters per 100 km. The truck boasts a braked towing capacity of up to 3,500 kg.
The five-seat cabin features a digital instrument cluster, a head-up display (HUD), and a large central infotainment touchscreen, paired with convenient physical controls. As a brand-new nameplate and Chery's inaugural global pickup offering, this model establishes a completely new product line without a direct predecessor.
