Changan Eado I gallery (2012–2018)

The first generation Changan Eado defined a new design direction for the brand while offering a versatile selection of petrol, hybrid, and electric powertrains.

The first generation Changan Eado compact family was produced between 2012 and 2018. Built on the proprietary C201 front-wheel-drive platform, the vehicle features front MacPherson struts and a rear torsion beam axle suspension layout. Styled at Changan European design studio in Turin, Italy, the exterior showcased European design proportions and fluid body curves. The line launched as a 4-door notchback sedan, followed in 2013 by the 5-door Eado XT hatchback variant. Standard motivation came from a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated Blue Core petrol engine developing 113 to 125 horsepower, matched with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed Aisin automatic gearbox. A 1.5-liter turbocharged option generating 170 horsepower joined the range alongside a 6-speed automatic. In 2014, Changan launched the Eado Blue mild hybrid, followed in 2015 by the all-electric Eado EV sedan. Interior amenities included manual climate control, a digital central display screen, and leatherette trim. The first generation Eado was exported to the Middle East, South America, Russia, and Southeast Asian automotive markets.
