Changan CS55 Plus II gallery (2021–present)
The second-generation Changan CS55 Plus launched in 2021, bringing futuristic UNI-inspired aesthetics, a high-tech cockpit, and a 181-hp Blue Whale turbo engine.
Unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2021, the second-generation Changan CS55 Plus introduced a clean-sheet redesign built on an updated architecture. The styling drew heavily from Changan's high-end UNI series, showcasing a frameless front grille, sharp LED lighting signatures, and a sporty roof spoiler. The chassis retains an independent suspension setup with MacPherson front struts and a rear multi-link system optimized for dynamic handling. Power originates from an upgraded 1.5-liter Blue Whale NE turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 181 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque, paired with an efficient seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission sending power to the front wheels. The futuristic cabin highlights an oval steering wheel, an elevated digital instrument panel, a floating center console with a shift-by-wire lever, and Pioneer audio. Equipped with Level 2 semi-autonomous driving features, panoramic cameras, and smart voice control, the crossover is exported globally.
